At the European Fuel Cells and Hydrogen Piero Lunghi Conference 2025 (Capri, 17–19 September), the University of Ljubljana contributed to advancing sustainability assessment of hydrogen products within the GUESS-WHy project.
J. Gramc and M. Mori presented their paper: “Sustainability assessment of PEMFC.”
Their work applied a Life Cycle Sustainability Assessment (LCSA) to Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cells (PEMFC), highlighting environmental, economic, and social dimensions of this key hydrogen technology. This contribution aligns with GUESS-WHy’s mission to create Safe and Sustainable-by-Design guidelines that support the EU Green Deal, circular economy goals, and the Clean Hydrogen Partnership’s strategy.
By embedding safety and sustainability into the design of hydrogen systems, GUESS-WHy helps ensure that the hydrogen economy grows on resilient, safe, and socially responsible foundations.
