Official Launch of the Horizon GUESS-WHy Project!

We are pleased to announce the commencement of GUESS-WHy, an EU- Co-funded project by the European Union and the Clean Hydrogen Partnership dedicated to advancing Safe and Sustainable-by-Design (SSbD) guidelines for Fuel Cell and Hydrogen (FCH) systems. By building on the legacy of projects like eGHOST and SH2E, GUESS-WHy will develop seven SSbD guidelines to enhance the safety, sustainability, and circularity of FCH technologies, helping Europe lead the way toward a greener hydrogen economy. The project is supported by the Clean Hydrogen partnership and its members.

During the Kick-off meeting, on 22nd – 23rd of January, at Brussels, a workshop took place on the first day, titled “Assessment of open points from eGHOST and SH2E for S(S)bD guidelines” , featuring key experts from the European Hydrogen Sustainability and Circularity Panel, including Alessandro Agostini, Alessandro Arrigoni, Marco Serafini, Paula Costa, Julie Cren, Sofía De-León Almaraz, Antonio Valente, and Sotirios Karellas. Their insights are crucial for shaping the project’s future direction. This workshop also marked the achievement of the project’s first milestone, bringing consortium members together to assess the strengths and challenges of existing SSbD guidelines.
