GUESS-WHy Project l 3rd Hydrogen Summer ScH2ool Participation

The GUESS-WHy project was featured during the 3rd Hydrogen Summer ScH2ool, held from 7th to 11th of July 2025 at the University of Western Macedonia in Kozani. This five-day event brought together students and experts from across the hydrogen sector to explore the entire hydrogen value chain and its role in the clean energy transition.

Mr. Sari Alfreijat, a student from the University of Perugia, the coordinating institution of the GUESS-WHy project, participated in the Summer School and actively promoted the project’s mission and objectives. His involvement, alongside the team from CluBE-Cluster of Bioeconomy and Environment of Western Macedonia’s team, helped raise awareness of GUESS-WHy’s contribution to innovative, green hydrogen guidelines for sustainable energy systems.

Participants also joined a study visit to the Agkistron Energy Park, where a hydrogen fuel cell system was demonstrated, highlighting practical applications of the technologies explored throughout the programme.

The initiative was organised by the Cluster of Bioeconomy and Environment of Western Macedonia (CluBE) and Advent Technologies, in collaboration with the University of Western Macedonia (UoWM), the Lifelong Learning Center (KEDIVIM) of UoWM, the Centre for Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH), and with the support of the Region of Western Macedonia.
The programme was implemented under the European project Green Skills for Hydrogen (ERASMUS+), in cooperation with the i-STENTORE project.
